A Real World Example of Agile Cost and Time Savings
4 February 2009 in AboutI just found out that an application we rewrote for a client is coming in at a quarter the cost and amount of time it took to make the original - plus ours does more! We talk about how Agile is faster, cheaper, and creates better code, but it is not often we are able to compare to other products on an apple-to-apple level. We are always evaluating our performance at Integrum - which means we are identifying problems all the time - and applying what we know to fix them. This approach is risky though - it risks identifying with problems versus just seeing them clearly and taking action. It’s nice to have some metrics like this so that we know, even though we are hard on ourselves, that we are still head-and-shoulders above many of the rest of the pack.
